Rare Disease Day contact campaign – Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
We need your help! Please get in touch with your elected representatives!

Dear RDUK member,
As you know its Rare Disease Day on the 28th February and one of the main aims is to raise awareness of rare diseases – obviously a key group that we need to raise awareness amongst is politicians. As a result we would be very grateful if you could contact your elected representatives letting them know about Rare Disease Day and asking them to attend the Rare Disease Day receptions. Below you will find template letters for you to adapt and send depending on whether you live in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.
Note: Template letters for people who live in England will be coming shortly – we haven’t forgotten about you!
If you are a patient organisation please get your members in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to send letters too – the more letters we send the more awareness we can raise!
You can either post or email your letter and details on how to find out who your elected representatives are can be found below. A handy website to email your representatives is http://www.writetothem.com
We would be interested in hearing whether you get a response from your elected representatives so that we can follow it up if needs be.
