EU Health Minsters Adopt Council Recommendation


On the 9th June 2009, EU Health Ministers adopted a European Council Recommendation that calls on Member States to develop and implement plans and or strategies for the treatment of rare diseases.


Rare Disease UK welcomes the move as an important step forward for the estimated 3.5 million people in the UK who are affected by rare disease and we will be working hard to ensure that it is taken forward in all the nations of the UK.
